Video: Karnataka Man Wipes Off Rainwater From PM Poster, Wins Praise
A video of a man wiping rain water off the cutout of Prime Minister Narendra Modi erected in Devanahalli near here, ahead of a BJP road show, has gone viral.
The video shows an elderly man clad in white shirt and dhoti wiping the cutout of the Prime Minister drenched in rain on Friday evening.
When the person who shot the video asked him whether he was doing it for money, the man replied, "I don't need money. I don't take money from anyone. I am doing it because of my love and trust on him (PM Modi)."
Choking in emotion, he said, "To us Modi is God." After his road show was cancelled owing to downpour, Union Minister Amit Shah shared the video on his Twitter handle.
"The unwavering trust in PM @narendramodi Ji and the selfless affection for him is what the BJP has earned and it is its source of strength. Have a look at this beautiful video from Devanahalli, Karnataka," Shah tweeted.

Aishwarya-Abhishek Twinning And Winning In 16th Wedding Anniversary Post
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary today (April 20). On this special day, the couple treated their Insta families with a similar picture, twinning in white ensembles. In the image, Abhishek holds his wife Aishwarya close as she clicks a blockbuster selfie. They can be seen flashing their million-dollar smile for the camera. Sharing the post, Aishwarya wrote, "Sweet 16," followed by heart emoticons, while Abhishek wrote, "16" with an evil eye emoticon. Soon after they shared the post, their industry friends flooded the comment section. Fardeen Khan wrote, "Congratulations..." Tanisha Mukerji wrote, "Happyyyy anniversary."

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married in 2007 on April 20, according to Hindu rituals at Amitabh Bachchan's residence Prateeksha in Juhu, Mumbai. They welcomed their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan on November 16, 2011.
A few hours ago, the Bachchan family - Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya were spotted at Aditya Chopra's house in Juhu to pay their last respect to Pamela Chopra, who died in the morning today.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, a sequel to Ponniyin Selvan, co-starring Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Karthi. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on April 28.

Wing Commander Deepika Misra 1st Woman IAF Officer To Get Gallantry Award
Wing Commander Deepika Misra on Thursday became the first woman officer in the Indian Air Force to be presented a gallantry award.
According to an IAF spokesperson, Wing Commander Misra, a helicopter pilot who hails from Rajasthan, was conferred a Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry) for an act of "exceptional courage" displayed during a flood relief operation in Madhya Pradesh.
IAF chief Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari presented the Yudh Seva Medal and other awards to several officers and air warriors at an Investiture Ceremony held at the Air Force Auditorium in Subroto Park here.
While two IAF officers were awarded Yudh Seva Medal, 13 officers, and air warriors received Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry), 13 officers Vayu Sena Medal and 30 Vishisht Seva Medal, the spokesperson said.
A total of 58 persons, 57 from the IAF and one from the Army received the awards, he said.
Talking about Wing Commander Misra, he said she is the first woman officer of the Indian Air Force to get a gallantry award in the history of the IAF.
For devotion to service, women from the IAF have received awards in the past, but this is the first time that a gallantry award has been conferred on a woman officer of the IAF, he added.
According to information shared by the IAF, Wing Commander Misra was "detailed to undertake humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in response to flash floods" in northern Madhya Pradesh in August 2021.
The rescue operation that included low hover pick-ups and winching lasted for an exhaustive eight days and she saved the lives of 47 people, including women and children.
Her efforts of bravery and courage not only saved precious lives in a natural calamity but also instilled a sense of safety amongst the common populace in the flood-affected area, officials added.
