"Don't Give Colour": Railway Minister On Odisha Train Accident Probe
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has assured that the probe into the Balasore train accident will find out the truth about the three-train pile-up that killed 292 people. One of the injured men -- a 24-year-old from Bengal -- died today at Cuttack's Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital.
Speaking in Howrah near Kolkata, where the Railway Minister was inspecting an under-construction metro corridor, Mr Vaishnaw said, "Don't go by any rumours. This is a very, very sensitive matter. In this sensitive matter our goal is -- the truth should come out".
"We should know the root technical cause and we should know every other aspect of this incident… so that this is not repeated in future," he added.
Over the last few days there have been rumours and social media posts about a junior engineer going missing after interrogation by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with Bahanaga Bazaar railway accident in Balasore district of Odisha.
"A few media reports are coming in that a Bahanaga staff is absconding and missing. This is factually incorrect. The entire staff is present and are a part of inquiry. They are appearing before agency," Aditya Kumar Chaudhary, a representative of South Eastern Railway told news agency ANI on Tuesday.
The Railway Minister also clarified that the Central Bureau of Investigation has not filed any primary report. "The CBI will complete its investigation and then they will submit their report," he said.

Watch: PM Welcomed By Indian Community In US Amid 'Modi Modi' Chants
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New York on Tuesday on the first leg of his maiden state visit to the US during which he will lead the International Yoga Day event at the United Nations Headquarters and hold bilateral talks with President Joe Biden. He was welcomed by a group of Indian community members in America, with national flag in their hands, outside the airport.
Visuals showed the Prime Minister shaking hands with a few of the members as they chanted 'Modi, Modi' slogans.
Some of the community members were also seen waiting outside his hotel to greet him.
Smita Mickey Patel, one of the members of the Indian community told ANI, "I think his visit will make a great impact on the US as he is doing a really great job globally as well. He is helping out the whole world with his pure heart and is making India proud."
Another person said that they that they have taken days off from their work to support him and welcome him.
Though PM Modi has made several previous visits to the United States, this will be his first with the full diplomatic status of an official state visit, just the third of Biden's presidency and third by any Indian leader.
"It's a milestone in our relationship...It is a very significant visit, very important visit," India's Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra told reporters on Monday.
A key achievement expected to be showcased is in the area of defence cooperation, especially between military industries of the two countries, Mr Kwatra said, as India seeks to produce more weapons and equipment at home for itself and also for export.
During the three-day visit, PM Modi will be hosted by Biden for a state dinner and a private family dinner, attend lunch with Vice-President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and address a joint session of Congress for the second time in nine years.
He will address an invitation-only gathering of diaspora leaders from across the country at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington on June 23.
PM Modi will also meet American CEOs and lead an International Yoga Day event at the UN headquarters.

"IndiGo Deal With Airbus Major Win For UK Aerospace": Rishi Sunak
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said today that Airbus's multi-billion dollar deal with IndiGo to supply 500 aircraft is a major boost for the UK aerospace sector, which will benefit from billions of pounds in investment and thousands of new jobs.
IndiGo on Monday announced a firm order to buy 500 narrow-body planes from Airbus, making it one of the largest-ever aircraft purchases by an airline in civil aviation history.
"This contract is a major win for our aerospace sector. Airbus's deal with IndiGo will be worth billions to the UK and support thousands of jobs across the country - helping to grow the economy," PM Sunak said.
IndiGo's deal has topped the 470-aircraft agreement recently signed by Airbus and Air India, and sparks a race to capitalise on India' growing base of fliers and vast expat population.
IndiGo's order for 500 A320 Family aircraft sets a new record for the largest single purchase agreement in the history of commercial aviation, Airbus said in a statement.
"This landmark order marks a new chapter in Airbus and IndiGo's relationship that is democratising affordable air travel for millions of people in the world's fastest growing aviation market. It is also a resounding endorsement of the A320 Family's best-in-class operating economics that have been powering IndiGo's growth for almost two decades," said Christian Scherer, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of International at Airbus.
"It is difficult to overstate the significance of IndiGo's new historic order for 500 Airbus A320 Family aircraft. An order book now of almost 1,000 aircraft well into the next decade, enables IndiGo to fulfil its mission to continue to boost economic growth, social cohesion and mobility in India," said Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo.
IndiGo's fleet of over 300 aircraft currently operates over 1,800 flights a day, connecting 78 domestic and over 20 international destinations. With orders for additional aircraft yet to be delivered, the airline's fleet strength is expected to reach 480.

US Judges Sets August 14 As Trial Date For Trump In Secret Documents Case
Federal Judge Aileen Cannon has set an initial trial date of August 14 for former President Donald Trump's Florida documents case, according to a court order on Tuesday.
The Justice Department's special counsel in the case, Jack Smith, promised a speedy trial after a 37-count indictment charging Trump with will-fully retaining classified government records and obstructing justice.
But the complexities of handling highly classified evidence, the degree to which Trump's legal team challenges the government's pre-trial motions, and the way the judge manages the schedule could all lead to a trial that is anything but swift, legal experts say.
The latest order came after a US judge on Monday ordered Trump's defense lawyers not to release evidence in the classified documents case to the media or the public, according to a court filing.
The order from U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart also put strict conditions on Trump's access to the materials.
